Start Here →How it works
You log meals, snacks, water, and beverages across four days, right from your phone or computer. Each entry saves as you go. For every meal, you also note how you felt afterward, and at the end of each day you log your overall energy, digestion, mood, and sleep quality. Built-in portion guides and food comparison examples keep entries consistent without requiring perfect precision on every ingredient.
Why four days instead of one
One day of tracking tells you little, since a single symptom has many possible causes. Four days logged consistently starts to show a pattern: an afternoon crash that follows a specific breakfast more than once, bloating that shows up a few hours after a certain food, a night of poor sleep that traces back to dinner. These patterns are easy to miss day to day and easier to see once they are written down together. This is most useful for anything tied to digestion, energy, blood sugar, or inflammation, where general advice like eating healthier does not identify what specifically is not working for a given person.
What happens after you submit
When you are finished, your log goes to your provider by email, sent from your own device with a copy to yourself. You also have the option to download a plain summary to keep for your own records before sending it in.
How to get started
If you have completed our functional medicine intake, the food log arrives in your email automatically once you submit it. If you have not started with us yet and you are simply curious what four days of tracking might reveal, you are welcome to use it on your own.
Common questions
Do I have to log every single bite?
No. A reasonably complete picture of your meals and how you felt afterward is what matters most, not perfect precision on every ingredient.
What if I miss a meal or forget to log one day?
Mark a meal as skipped and keep going. A log with a gap or two is still useful.
Do the four days need to be in a row?
Consecutive days give the clearest picture of your normal pattern, so we recommend them when your schedule allows it.
Is this the same as counting calories?
No. Calories are tracked as part of the picture, but the real purpose is connecting specific foods to how you felt afterward, energy, digestion, mood, and sleep.
